The New York Post reported last week that former CBS News and Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge won a judge’s ruling pausing her $800-a-day fines while she appeals being held in contempt for refusing to divulge confidential sources.

District Judge Christopher Cooper in Washington, D.C., “reversed course,” the newspaper said, and ruled that Herridge would no longer have to pay the daily fines while she appeals a second time to the U.S. Supreme Court.

“As a result, she will be reimbursed the $14,400 in checks she has already written,” the Post reported.

The case involves Herridge’s reporting on Yanping Chen, a Chinese-American scientist investigated by FBI counterintelligence.
