Wendy N. Whitman Cobb, Ph.D., is professor of strategy and security studies at the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies of Air University, which is the lead agent for Air Force education. Whitman Cobb received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Central Florida, both in political science, and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Florida. Her research focuses on the political and institutional dynamics of space policy, public opinion of space exploration, and the influence of commerce on potential space conflict. Previously, Whitman Cobb was an associate professor of political science at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
