Tony Mauro, an American journalist, covered the U.S. Supreme Court for over 40 years before semi-retiring in 2019. He served on the steering committee of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press for 36 years and was inducted into the Freedom of Information Hall of Fame for his advocacy for greater transparency in the federal courts. As the lead writer for ALM’s Supreme Court Brief, Tony focuses on the court’s history and traditions, appellate advocacy and cases.
