Richard Stevens worked in journalism for more than 40 years before retiring in 2021. He worked as an editor for several newspapers in Missouri, Illinios, Kansas and Washington state before moving to Tennessee. He spent five years with The Tennessean before becoming the news director and generaal manager for the Clarksville Chronicle. After that, he became communications director for the city of Clarksville.
