Paul Pope, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of political science at Montana State University-Billings where he teaches courses on constitutional law, language and law, the American presidency and public policy analysis. Pope’s research involves the study of the language of political violence, hate speech and other language crimes. He also completed a study on the self-referencing hero language used by the Jan. 6 insurrectionists before during and after attacking the U.S. Capitol.
