Lynne Chandler Garcia, Ph.D., is an associate professor of political science at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Her teaching focuses on American politics and foreign policy. Her areas of research include constitutional interpretations, the concepts of personhood, civil discourse, empathy in political behavior, foreign policy, military operations and the art of pedagogy for underprivileged learners. She’s written many publications on military history, organizational management and personal mindset. She wrote the opinion piece “I’m a professor at a U.S. military academy. Here’s why I teach critical race theory” for The Washington Post in 2021.
