Ivan Greenberg is an independent scholar who has written two books on surveillance, social movements and civil liberties: “The Dangers of Dissent” and “Surveillance in America.” Other articles written by Greenberg include “U.S. Torture Practices,” “State Cultural Production Related to Postage Stamps” and “The Role of Contingent Teachers in Higher Education.” Greenberg graduated cum laude at Cornell University before obtaining his Ph.D. in United States history from the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
