Matthew M. Caverly, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the department of political science at Middle Georgia State University. His research focuses on presidential and public policy analysis. He teaches courses on American government, public policy, domestic issues, comparative politics, politics of the presidency, state and local government, among others. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and continues his military service at the state militia-level with the Georgia State Defense Force as a senior non-commissioned officer.
